I just started getting this error when trying to save a newsletter in AcyMailing 5:The site runs on Joomla 4.4.4 and AM is the latest version 5.13.0. We are working on moving all of our newsletter functions to AM 9 because v5 no longer supported, but for now we need to continue with v5 while the switch is being made, which is why I'm posting this here. I have other sites running on the same server with the same combination of PHP 8.3, J4 and AM5, so I know it can work.
I should note that it matters not which editor I choose in the AM configuration. We have JCE installed, but choosing TinyMCE or the native AM editor makes no difference.
The "PHP Info" tab at Global Configuration > System Information shows this info for GD support:
GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.1.0 compatible)
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
FreeType Version 2.9.1
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPEG Support enabled
libJPEG Version 6b
PNG Support enabled
libPNG Version 1.6.34
WBMP Support enabled
XPM Support enabled
libXpm Version 30411
XBM Support enabled
WebP Support enabled
BMP Support enabled
AVIF Support enabled
TGA Read Support enabled
The above output matches exactly the output on the working site.
There are no errors showing in cPanel at the hosting level.
FPA shows this error on both the working site and the broken one:
Code:
imagecopyresampled(): Argument #2 ($src_image) must be of type GdImage, false given

Adding the FPA output makes my post too long, so will post it in a second reply.Last Known PHP Error
